Ningbo, May 12th (Xinhua Chen Jinlian) the second China - Central and Eastern European countries fair will be held in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province on June 8th to 11th . May 12th , the State Council Information Office held a press conference to introduce China and Central and Eastern European countries economic and trade cooperation and the second China - Central and Eastern European Expo and international consumer goods exposition to the public.

It is reported that China-CEE Expo is the only national mechanism exhibition for Central and Eastern Europe, and the theme of this year is “Building a New Pattern, Sharing New Opportunities”. The event is a concrete implementation of the objectives and tasks proposed at the China-CEE Leaders Summit. At that time, a series of cooperation results will be released, such as the “Silk Road E-Commerce” Development Summit, which will launch a dialogue mechanism on e-commerce between China and CEE countries and release the "China E-Commerce Report (2020)". The China-CEE High-end Think Tank Forum on High-Quality Development of Local Cooperation will premiere the "Country Report on Transportation in CEE Countries (2021)"; the Global Health Industry Cooperation Conference will officially launch the "China-CEE Public Health Industry Alliance" proposed by the Leaders Summit.

This year's fair has three major exhibition areas: Central and Eastern Europe Exhibition, International Consumer Goods Exhibition and Perennial Imported Goods Exhibition, with a total exhibition area of 200,000 square meters, and more than 2,000 exhibitors and 6,000 buyers from all over China are expected to register. A number of high-tech products and projects, such as the Wanfeng Aviation aircraft imported from the Czech Republic, the Bat aircraft from Slovenia, the world's leading Lithuanian laser micro-processing project, and the Latvian anti-reflective glass with the lowest reflectivity in the world, will be presented.

According to Assistant Minister of Commerce Ren Hongbin, between 2012 and 2020, the average annual growth rate of China's trade with 17 Central and Eastern European countries is 8%, which is more than twice the growth rate of China's trade with the EU. Last year, China's trade volume with 17 countries exceeded 100 billion U.S. dollars for the first time, reaching 103.45 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 8.4% year-on-year. In the first quarter of this year, China's trade with 17 countries amounted to $30.13 billion, up 50.2% year-on-year, exceeding the growth rate of China's foreign trade by 11 percentage points over the same period. Among them, China's imports from CEE countries grew strongly, by 44.7%. In terms of investment cooperation, the scale of two-way investment between China and CEE countries is close to USD 20 billion, involving auto parts, chemicals, home appliances, logistics, minerals, business cooperation and many other fields.
