On April 7^th, 2026, the 5^th Session of the Montenegro-China Scientific and Technological Cooperation Committee was held via video conference in Beijing and Podgorica. The meeting was co-chaired by Wang Xiao, Deputy Director General of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of China, and Marko Vukašinović, Director General of Directorate for International Cooperation, European Integration and EU Funds, Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MESI) of Montenegro.

The China-CEEC Innovation Cooperation Research Center was invited to attend the meeting and delivered remarks. During the session, both sides were briefed on the latest developments in science, technology and innovation policies in the two countries. They reviewed the overall progress of China-Montenegro scientific and technological cooperation since the 4^th Session and reached a consensus on priority areas and key tasks for future cooperation.
