From April 3 to 9, Professor Grigoris Zarotiadis of Greece Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) visited China-CEEC Innovation Cooperation Research Center (hereinafter referred to as the “Research Center”) for exchange work.

On April 8, Wu Yuxia, the vice dean of the Research Center, along with heads of relevant departments, hosted a working meeting with Professor Grigoris. The two sides firstly held a signing ceremony for appointing Professor Grigoris as a Part-time Professor of the Research Center.

The meetings featured pragmatic and in-depth exchange and discussion on the progress of China-Greece Innovation Collaboration Center, the future development of Innovation Cooperation Think Tank Alliance, the arrangements for the “Greece Innovation Tour in China”, the preparations for the Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, as well as relevant programme collaboration and topics.

On the morning of April 9, Professor Grigoris gave a lecture entitled the “Innovation Ecosystem in South-Eastern Europe and prospects for stronger links to the Chinese one” at the Digital Governance Lab of Ningbo University of Technology. Researchers from the Research Center, as well as teachers and students from the School of Humanities and International Communications participated in the lecture, and conducted deep exchanges.

During his exchange work at the Research Center, Professor Grigoris also accepted the exclusive interview initiated by the Research Center. This episode of interview programme is expected to be launched online in May. Please stay tuned for further updates.

This professional work visit has further deepened and fostered bilateral cooperation, and injected strong new momentum into China-Greece innovation synergy and development.
