On July 10, 2026, the Briefing by the Secretariat of China-CEEC Cooperation and the Themed Promotion of Qinghai Province were held in Beijing. The Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology and the China-CEEC Innovation Cooperation Research Center were invited by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) to attend the event.

The briefing was organized by the Secretariat of China-CEEC Cooperation. Mr. Li Jian, Executive Secretary of the Secretariat and Director-General of the Department of European Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, chaired the meeting. Ms. Cao Lei, Deputy Secretary of the Secretariat and Deputy Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, along with ambassadors and representatives of Central and Eastern European countries (CEECs) accredited to China, participated in the meeting. Ms. Wang Xiao, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation of MOST, briefed the attendees on two main matters: first, the progress of the "Four 50s" Science and Technology Exchange Initiative launched by MOST for CEECs and the considerations for its further expansion; and second, the arrangements for the 2026 China-CEEC Innovation Cooperation Conference.
