At present, China and Serbia are facing new opportunities and challenges, and China is willing to work with the Serbian to view and develop bilateral relations from a strategic and long-term perspective, so that China-Serbia friendly relations endure.

Xi stressed that we should give each other firm support in our efforts to safeguard our respective national sovereignty and security. China supports the development path chosen by the Serbian people in accordance with their national conditions. The two sides should accelerate the high-quality construction of "Belt and Road Initiative", cultivate new growth points for cooperation, share opportunities and seek common development. The two sides should work together to tackle the COVID-19 epidemic, economic recovery, climate change and other global challenges. We must strengthen collaboration in multilateral affairs, firmly uphold the international system with the United Nations at its core, safeguard international law and the basic norms of international relations, and practice genuine multilateralism. We should implement the consensus and outcomes of the China-CEE Leaders Summit and promote the continuous new development of China-CEEC cooperation.
