On April 23, 2021, the China (Chengdu-Chongqing Region) - Hungary Innovation Cooperation Conference was held in Chongqing in an "online + offline" combined way. The conference was attended by representatives of science and technology departments, universities, research institutes, enterprises and financial institutions from Chongqing, Sichuan, Gansu and Guizhou, officials from the Hungarian Embassy and Consulate General in Chongqing, as well as representatives of some Hungarian enterprises in China. The conference showcased and promoted 27 scientific and technological achievements in an "online + offline" way, and was broadcasted live in China and Hungary simultaneously. The Foreign Cooperation Department of Guizhou Science and Technology Department and Guizhou Technology Transfer Center were invited to attend the meeting in Chongqing.

At the meeting, the Technology Transfer Center of Guizhou Province and Chongqing High Technology Entrepreneurship Center signed the Agreement on Collaborative Promotion of China-Hungary Technology Exchange and Cooperation, agreeing to share scientific and technological information and talent resources between the two sides and promote the cooperation of industry-university-research and the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements with enterprises. The signing of the agreement marks Guizhou Province's formal participation in the co-construction of China-Hungary Technology Transfer Center, its integration into the collaborative innovation circle of Chengdu-Chongqing region and the further improvement of the open innovation system.

The China-Hungary Technology Transfer Center is an official technology transfer platform built by China and relevant Hungarian government agencies, which is a concrete initiative to implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's "One Belt, One Road" initiative and Hungary's state policy of "opening up to the East". The Center has set up branches in Chongqing and Budapest respectively, and is a platform for enterprises and universities in both countries to exchange scientific and technological talents, innovative technologies, industrial capital and transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements. It has so far led to the signing of 20 projects and the implementation of 10 cooperative projects. The China (Chengdu-Chongqing Region) - Hungary Innovation Cooperation Conference is a pragmatic initiative to promote cooperation between the western region and Hungary based on the China-Hungary Technology Transfer Center located in Chongqing.

In the next step, Guizhou Province will give full play to the role of the platform of China-Hungary Technology Transfer Center, connect with Central and Eastern European countries to carry out innovation cooperation and create a good environment for international science and technology cooperation.
