On April 23, the “China (Chengdu-Chongqing Region)-Hungary Innovation Cooperation Conference”was held in Heavy Science and Technology Valley. More than 160 representatives from universities, research institutes, enterprises and financial institutions in Chongqing, Sichuan, Gansu and Guizhou, officials from the Hungarian Embassy in China and Consulate General in Chongqing, as well as representatives of some Hungarian enterprises in China attended the conference. The conference was broadcast live simultaneously in China and Hungary through "YizhiNet".

At the meeting, Chongqing Science and Technology Bureau and the Hungarian Ministry of Innovation and Technology signed the "China (Chongqing)-Hungary Science and Technology Innovation Strategic Cooperation Memorandum", in which both sides will uphold the principle of co-business, co-construction and sharing, deepen cooperation in the fields of science and technology humanistic exchanges, building joint laboratories (research centers), conducting joint research in basic disciplines and applied technologies, promoting two-way transfer and transformation of technological achievements, promote the mutual sharing of scientific and technological innovation resources and achievements, and achieve a higher level of win-win cooperation. The two sides centrally organized the signing of 7 innovation cooperation projects between Chengdu-Chongqing region and Hungary, involving joint research, research achievements transformation, staff exchange and talent training.

In the subsequent round-table meeting on innovation cooperation between Visegrad Group (V4) and Chengdu-Chongqing region, relevant officials from the Embassy of Hungary in China, the Consulate General of Hungary in Chongqing, the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Chengdu, the Consulate General of Poland in Chengdu, the Chongqing Science and Technology Bureau, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and the Chongqing Institute of Science and Technology had an in-depth exchange on matters related to strengthening regional innovation cooperation between the V4 countries (Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia) and Chengdu-Chongqing region and reached preliminary cooperation intentions.
