From July 15 to July 17, 2025, a delegation led by Mr. Wang Bo, Executive Director of the China–CEEC Innovation Cooperation Research Center (hereinafter referred to as “the Center”), conducted a research visit to the National Science Library, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Strategic Research Center of the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China (ISTIC), the Future Technology Research Center of ISTIC, and the Center for Integrated Utilization and Public Service of Scientific and Technological Information, ISTIC.

During the visit, the delegation focused on gaining a comprehensive understanding of the overall planning and development of digital laboratory systems within the aforementioned institutions. The two sides held in-depth exchanges on models of scientific and technological information services, intelligence analysis mechanisms, and the application of intelligent tools in supporting science and technology decision-making. They also conducted systematic discussions on topics such as technology foresight, policy simulation, and data resource integration.

This visit has provided valuable reference for the planning and establishment of the Center’s proposed Laboratory for Open Innovation Ecosystem Analysis and Policy Simulation (provisional name). It will contribute to enhancing the professionalism, intelligence, and foresight capabilities of decision-making support in science and technology, within the broader framework of building a high-level think tank for innovation cooperation.
